Rawmarsh Sandhill Primary School

Hard at Work!

We are delighted with how our children have begun their school year and have settled to their learning. They have quickly begun their first pieces of writing, working hard at ensuring their handwriting and the features for the texts they are writing are in them. They have shown a great willingness to work with each other and are really representing our Sandhill Ways well. Keep it up everyone!

School football success!

A massive well done to Y5/6 boys who represented us at the Totty Cup recently. They came runners-up in the recent tournament and scored many goals, whilst keeping it very tight at the back.

We also recently had a group of Y5/6 girls who represented us at one of their first competitive games. It was brilliant to see them enjoying the occasion and we hope it gives them the confidence and ability to try it again. Well done, girls!

Visiting Author

We recently arranged a visit with a published author, Daniel Henshaw. Daniel has written a range of children's books, mainly for junior children. He spoke to the children throughout his visit and families also had the opportunity to buy some of his books and get them signed at the end of the day.

SMSA Vacancy

We are still currently advertising for Lunchtime supervisory assistants to join our team here at Sandhill. The closing date is quite soon. Many of our current members of support staff started their journeys with us through this role and we know there may be many parents who would like to support school, as well as starting a rewarding career, in this way. Please visit the Wickersley Partnership website for more information.
