We hope you have had a lovely Easter Break and enjoyed some of the good weather we had. Next week is the SATS assessment week for the majority of our Year 6 children. These have not been delivered for the last two years as a result of Covid-19, so the children have all worked so hard and showed so much determination in preparing for them. They have tests in Reading, Spelling, Grammar and Maths, so it is a very busy week! Everyone at school wishes them very good luck in being the best they can be!
We have asked our With Me in Mind colleagues to deliver a sleep workshop in school on Tuesday 17th May, starting at 9am. The workshop aims to give participants a better understanding on the importance of sleep, including the impact of lack of sleep, sleep cycle, practical tips, and useful resources. Please contact the school office to confirm your place by Monday 16th May. Alternatively, please let your class teacher know via dojo or when picking up or dropping off your child. Thank you
Thankyou to everyone who came to our Easter Fayre, as well as all the staff and volunteers who helped set it up and support the stalls and activities. It was a fantastic success, and the school raised £925.95 in total!
Thankyou to everyone who took the time to complete our recent reading Google survey. Your feedback is really positive and will help us to think about future support and ideas for our children and families.
Some of the key headlines were...
Parents are very interested in 'stay and read' sessions and in guides and leaflets to support their child's reading. 8 out of 10 parents expressed an interest in some form of support
8 out of 10 of parents said they can see the progress their child is making.
93.5% (Not bad, but we can improve even further!)
Highest attendance: Miss Wright's Year 1 and 2 class with 97.5%!
Please ensure your child is as punctual as possible in attending school, as key learning begins straight away and we do not want any child to miss out on this!
