We hope you have had a good half-term break and are ready for the final half of the school year. As the weather improves, we will be taking more advantage of our outdoor areas and moving our learning outside where possible, particularly in PE.
Next week, we will be holding our second parents' meetings of the year on Tuesday 7th March, which will take place using the same Cloud service that we used last time. This will be an excellent opportunity to discuss your child's progress and attainment with half the year now completed. Details of how to book an appointment will be sent out shortly. Remember that this day is also an INSET day, and school will be closed to all children.
Thankyou for your support.
This new year we have been continuing with our weekly drop ins. The aim of the drop ins are for parents to come together, chat, listen and support one another! These get-togethers are completely informal and a safe space to discuss anything SEN from support in school to home.
It's been lovely welcoming so many familiar faces and hopefully you have found it useful. This year we have introduced our first themed drop in focusing on Dyslexia. A big thank you to the lovely Mrs Kirk for making the time to share her expertise. Going forward we would like to provide more themed drop ins so if there is an area of SEN you wish to know more about then let Mrs Hartley or Mrs Breedon know and we will see what we can get together.
We are pleased that our attendance since returning from the Christmas break has been improving. We'd like to encourage all parents and children to attend as well as possible. Remember our attendance shop and prize draw will take place every half-term and we have some exciting ideas for new awards this time!
Our Year 5 and 6 children have recently took part in a Dodgeball competition and did a fantastic job using their agility and speed to perform really well! They were very close to getting through to the final.
The Dodgeball competition is a new offer from our local School Games team this year and it was very well attended by many different schools.
Well done to our children!
94.6 Let's look to improve even more!)
Highest attendance: Mrs Hollingworth's class on 98.5%!
Please ensure your child is as punctual as possible in attending school, as key learning begins straight away and we do not want any child to miss out on this!
