We would like to wish our Y6 children who are attending Rawmarsh Community School the very best as they prepare for their final week in school. They have worked very hard to complete their learning this year and have continued to show a great attitude to their work. There will be lots of opportunities for them to have a great final week in school, including with those friends who are moving to different schools in September.
Please also remember to keep an eye on the weather this half-term; children will need a full water bottle and a sunhat with good weather in the summer months.
We are pleased to confirm that Mr C.Snaith and Mrs D.Whelan will be joining our teaching team next year. Both of them have already had a fantastic time supporting the children in school this year, and I know they are really excited about providing high-quality, motivated learning to our children next year.
We are also excited to welcome Mrs R.Breedon to our team - she will be joining Mrs May as a part-time member of staff and will also work as a designated SENDCo alongside Mrs Hartley. Mrs Breedon has worked for many years at Rawmarsh Ashwood school and brings a wealth of experience to school, as well as a real understanding our our Trust and the values we want our children to have.
Sadly, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs M.Davis, who will be leaving our school to take up a post at another Trust school. She has been covering Mrs Donnelly's (now Farnell) maternity leave this year and has been a wonderful and passionate teacher for our very youngest children - we will definitely be keeping in touch!
Our staffing next year will therefore be:
EYFS and Key Stage 1: Mrs Hartley, Mrs C.Farnell, Miss H.Charles, Miss C.Wright, Mrs R.Breedon, Mrs K.May, Miss E.Hollingworth
Key Stage 2: Mr C.Snaith, Mrs J.Perceval, Mrs D.Whelan, Mr A.Lowry, Mr N.Cairns
We will be providing information about your child's next class over the coming weeks, as well as the transition plan before September.
Please remember to take your child to the dentist regularly. NHS dental care is free for children. All children aged 3-16 can have fluoride varnish painted on their teeth by the dentist at least twice a year, to help strengthen their teeth and prevent tooth decay. If you do not have a family dentist, you can find your nearest NHS dentist at:

87.7% (We really need a big push towards the end of term to increase this!)
Highest attendance: Mrs May's and Mr Law's class with 94.2%!
Please ensure your child is as punctual as possible in attending school, as key learning begins straight away and we do not want any child to miss out on this!
