Rawmarsh Sandhill Primary School

Have a fantastic Christmas and New Year!

We want to wish our families a safe, relaxing and re-energising Christmas and New Year with family and friends. The children have worked extremely hard this term, and they have also been involved in a range of Christmas and seasonal activities to help them in their learning and continue to develop their emotional and social learning.

As we have recently had our first snow of the school year, please remember to keep an eye on our Dojo and our text messaging/email service in the event of any snowy/icy weather. We can update our school dojo immediately, so this is the best platform to check!

Have a lovely break and see you all soon safe and sound!

School Council Dojo ideas

Many thanks to the school council, who recently met and carried out some work with their friends to ask about what might make good dojo rewards.

We want to relaunch our Dojo rewards, and the council and children in school have had some great ideas to support this. We are hopeful we will be able to launch our new Dojo catalogue in January!

Web survey

We recently emailed all parents a feedback survey to help us understand what we are doing well at and which areas we need to develop. If you have not had chance to complete it yet, the survey is still open and can be found at:

Staffing Update

We are pleased to welcome several new staff to roles in school!

Mrs Burton joins out teaching assistant team as one of our higher-level teaching assistants and will be working closely with Year 4 mostly.

Mrs Sahota and Ms Roberts also join our lunchtime supervisory team.

We want to welcome them all and wish them the very best - we know our children will welcome them warmly!

Sadly, we have also said goodbye to Mrs Haith who has taken up a different post. We'd like to thank her for all her time, effort and commitment to our children over many years here.

Last week's attendance (w/c 5/12/22)...(please click to find out!)

93.3% (On an upward trend - keep it up!)

Highest attendance: Mr Cairn's class on 96%!

Please ensure your child is as punctual as possible in attending school, as key learning begins straight away and we do not want any child to miss out on this!
