Shift + Z is for Zombie

And... when you click on a doc in Google drive, Shift + Z will create a link to your document in another folder. This is better than [copy] because if the original document is updated, the new one will be too. You are really creating a link, rather than a true copy.

Tips for Google Docs

If you use headings in your document and want to share with others, you can link to the heading rather than the document as a whole so they go straight to the passage they want . Each heading has its own unique URL. This also works for online articles
Use headings, then insert a table of contents at the beginning to easily navigate your document.
If you want to change formatting of one heading - go back to heading one (or two etc) box - update heading one to match will change all headings to match
Page margins - have set smaller. The wide page margins that are the default are a hangover from old printer setting.
Don’t underline as usually mistaken for a hyperlink - it’s an old person behaviour! Students will see underline and assume it is a hyperlink.
Command shift v (ctrl shift v)- paste without formatting - this is particularly useful when copying from a document to a blog.
