Hold rope loosely, using your thumb and index finger for control.
Hands should be at waist level and as close to the body as possible.
Starting position is with hands at waist level.
Use circular wrist motion to turn the rope.
Stand tall but relaxed and keep the chest up. Breath naturally.
Jump on the balls of the feet trying to keep your landing soft by not jumping too high and keeping a slight bend in your knees.
Try to maintain a slow and steady pace.
Warming up and stretching prepare the body for the more vigorous activities that follow and reduce the risk of injury by:
Increasing the blood flow to the muscles
Increasing the speed of oxygen can be used by the body
Increasing the body and muscle temperature gradually
Increasing elasticity of muscle tissue
Stretching:
Concentrate more on leg stretches.
Add in some neck and arm stretches too
