RATS Payment & Refund Policies

• Full payment of applicable dues must be received before your application can be processed.  Applications paid less than 72 hours before a membership meeting may not be approved until the following month.

• The excess balance from over-payment of dues will be carried forward as a credit toward the next year's dues unless a refund is requested within 30 days.

• Dues are due by September 30 every year.  Payments are considered late as of October 1 and unpaid memberships will be automatically relinquished on December 31.

• Payments made on relinquished memberships will be held for 30 days to allow time for submission of a membership application.  If no application is received, any dues paid will be returned.

• Payments by check are accepted via mail at the club PO box.  Please allow up to 30 days for receipt and processing of mail-in payments.  Include your call sign on all checks.

• Payments for events and club activities which are subsequently canceled by the club or venue:  In most cases, these payments will be refunded within 30 days.  Refer to the terms and conditions of the individual activity for any restrictions on refunds.

Donations to Zeffy

• RATS is unable to refund any donation made to Zeffy during the checkout process.  If you choose to make an optional donation to Zeffy and later want a refund of that donation, you will need to contact Zeffy Customer Service directly, and any refunds will be subject to Zeffy's terms, conditions, and policies.  Sorry, we can only refund money that was paid to us.

Donation Receipts

• Receipts for donations made entirely through the Zeffy platform will be issued by Zeffy in early January each year.

• Receipts for donations of $100 or more made by check, cash, or other method direct to RATS will be issued by us in early February each year.

• Consult your tax advisor with questions regarding the tax treatment of donations made to RATS.  We cannot provide advice on this topic.  RATS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
