During our Erasmus+ exchange with the school in Massluis, one of the activities we did was working on a questionnaire together with our Dutch partners. The questionnaire (attached below) was about diversity and inclusion, linguístic diversity , gender and equality, special needs, awareness and teachers' training. We faced some difficulties as some of our mates very not conscious of those matters and they had diverse answers.
We worked in mixed groups – one or two students from each country – and we talked about our answers in English. It was really interesting to compare how things work in our schools and how similar or different our experiences are. For example, we found out that both schools use systems to manage the arrival of foreign students, but sometimes in different ways.
Working on the questionnaire helped us to reflect on what we like about our school environment and what we could improve. It also made it easier to get to know our partners better and to have deeper conversations, not just about school, but also about our daily lives.
In the end, we shared our group reflections with the rest of the class, and it was great to see how many ideas we had in common. This activity really showed us the value of listening, sharing, and learning from each other.
You can find the full task, our group work, reflections, and conclusions in the Google Sites link attached below. It includes photos, presentations, and summaries of everything we did during the project.
We hope now to share with our mates at Raspall these differences.
