Rappahannock County Public Schools participates in the Piedmont Regional Battle of the Books (BoB) competition each year.
Open to 6th-8th graders, this competition opens each fall with a new list of books for participants to read, enjoy, and interact with. As the fall progresses, students will meet to discuss the books, quiz each other on character development, plot details, and symbolism. Then, over the winter, there are 2 competitions that the team will attend and "battle" it out with 17 others schools for the #1 spot.
