My name is Sardar Abdalla Hussein. I obtained my BA with first class honors in English at Koya University, in 2013 and MA with matricular de honor in English Language Teaching with Technology at the University of Almeria - Spain, in 2018.
I started working at the University of Raparin\ Language Center in 2015. I have had the honor to take many responsiblities, thus, I have been working as English Instructor, Course Coordinator and Digital Media Director at the Language Center since then.
As a journalist and writer with more than 9 years of experience, I have worked for many technology outlets, such as, IT Magazine, Byte Magazine, Kurdpro.net and Kitn.net. Currently, I am the founder and CEO of kitn.net; the most trusted tech source in Kurdistan Region. In my career as a writer and tech journalist, I have translated and published hundreds of articles and a few books.
In fact, I am very keen on learning and new experiences and I love to take risks in life. In my leisure time, I would like to relax, be outdoors and work on my new and future projects.
As a university teacher with an MA in English Language Teaching and a certified teacher trainer, I believe that education should be student-centered, inclusive, and empowering. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every learner is unique and capable, and it is my role to create flexible, responsive learning environments that support each individual’s growth.
I see technology as a powerful tool to enhance engagement, personalize instruction, and bridge gaps in access to knowledge. I also believe that meaningful learning happens when instruction is differentiated, inclusive, and aligned with the students’ interests, needs, and contexts. My goal is to foster holistic development by addressing not only academic skills but also students’ emotional, social, and cognitive growth.
Assessment, for me, is more than a measure of achievement—it is a process for learning. I integrate both assessment for and as learning to guide my teaching, inform learners of their progress, and help them take ownership of their learning journey.
Ultimately, I strive to be a reflective educator who models adaptability, curiosity, and lifelong learning. I aim to inspire the same in my students and fellow educators.
