Summer work Assignment Instructions 

Please complete the following tasks:

1. Vocabulary Review:

   • Thoroughly review and study the vocabulary from Integrated Chinese Volume 1, Lessons 1 through 8.

   • Lessons 1 to 5 should be relatively easy, as you have already covered most of this material. Focus primarily on Lessons 6 through 8.

   • You do not need to purchase the textbook at this time; simply use the provided Quizlet study set.

2. Character Practice:

   • Use the provided character practice worksheet to copy each vocabulary word three times from Integrated Chinese Volume 1, Lessons 1 through 8.

   • Again, no textbook purchase is necessary; refer to the Quizlet study set.

3. Mythology Story Analysis:

   • Watch the linked Chinese mythology story.

   • Write a summary of the story in English.

   • Include a comparison between this Chinese mythology and another mythology from a different culture that you are familiar with.
