Studio Art 2 - Mr. Guzman
This year the students in Studio Art 2 focused on flora and pollinators. Students identified, researched, and created artworks that reference an aspect of their environment.
Studio Art 1 - Ms. Holohan
The Studio Art 1 students created a triptych of small acrylic abstractions inspired by photographic images of nature. Through this process, they explored color translation and mixing while developing skills in methodical paint application.
Studio Art 2 - Ms. Dalins
This year the students in Studio Art 2 focused on flora and pollinators. Students identified, researched, and created artworks that reference an aspect of their environment.
Photography 1 - Mr. Stock
Students in Photography 1, inspired by classic Renaissance still-life floral paintings, created their own floral still-life arrangements. The students then added a variety of pollinators to the arranged photographs in Photoshop. Each image was then sliced and rearranged, symbolizing that the reconfiguration of the images reflects how human creativity and intervention can both preserve and alter the essence of the natural world.
