In the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged California and Hawaii, "I See Fire" emerged as a poignant response to the urgent and collective call for action to curb climate change. Inspired by the raw intensity, heartbreaking aftermath, and the stories of communities affected by these natural disasters, I sought to translate the harrowing experiences into a powerful narrative of loss and surrender. Through evocative movements and emotive storytelling, this dance piece delves into the interconnectedness between humanity and the environment, shedding light on the consequences of unchecked climate change. This dance piece serves as a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and preserve our planet for future generations, weaving together artistry and activism to amplify the voices of those impacted by the climate crisis.
Join us in Lewis Auditorium to see 7th graders perform "I See Fire"
