Our Guidance department is made up of a number of passionate staff who are guided by the NZAC Code of Ethics to ensure safe practice. We have two full time and three part-time counsellors available Monday to Friday during school hours.
As well as supporting students with one-on-one counselling, the Guidance department is proud to have implemented several initiatives over the past few years as we move towards a model of ‘wellbeing for all’. We offer equine therapy, tuakana/teina mentoring, workshops, professional development for staff, and group work, and are always open to new ideas in supporting all ākonga.
We also offer health and medical support via our health clinic which is led by our nurse Chanel Kent.
