Randolph High School Band Receives MCC Grant to Support Music Technology
The Randolph High School Band Program is proud to announce the purchase of a brand-new MacBook Pro thanks to a generous Local Cultural Council (LCC) grant from the Randolph Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
The new MacBook Pro will serve as a cornerstone for our Digital Audio Production course and as a vital tool for the Randolph High School Marching Band. This powerful computer enables students to access and explore industry-standard music software such as Logic Pro and MainStage, helping them develop skills in composition, sound design, live performance, and modern music production.
“This technology will open up creative possibilities for our students, both in the classroom and on the field,” said Sean Donnelly, Band Director at Randolph High School. “Our band students will now be able to create original music, remix compositions, and bring cutting-edge sound to our performances.”
This initiative directly supports over 100 students during the 2025–2026 school year, with no cost for participation. By integrating music technology into the classroom, the band program is equipping students with 21st-century skills, encouraging creative expression, and supporting equitable access to modern tools in the arts.
The new equipment will be featured during upcoming concerts and marching band performances demonstrating the fusion of live music and digital creativity. These public events celebrate the cultural vitality of Randolph and highlight the diverse talents of our student musicians.
Randolph High School is incredibly grateful for the support of the Randolph Cultural Council and the Massachusetts Cultural Council for their continued investment in the arts and in our students.
