Welcome to our Class!

Welcome to a wonderful new beginning; your child's Kindergarten experience! I am so happy and excited to be a part of this incredible, precious time. Throughout the year, there will be corners to explore, friends to meet, discoveries to be made and feelings to be expressed. I look forward to learning, loving and growing together!

My Kindergarten Philosophy:

I am very excited to have your child in my class this year! Kindergarten is a time for new learning experiences, new friends and fun! It is also a critical time for your child to develop a lifelong love of learning, and the feeling of being an important and valued member of our Kindergarten community.

Here are some tips to help your child make a positive and successful adjustment to our Kindergarten routine:

  • Please send your child to school with a backpack or a book bag large enough to fit 81/2" by 11" papers. Frequent notices and a monthly newsletter will be coming home to you.

  • Always encourage your child to eat a nutritious breakfast. Please also remember to pack a simple snack as we eat a snack everyday.

  • Encourage your child to use the bathroom before coming to school.

  • Make sure that your child is well rested and feeling positive about school. If a parent is positive, the child will be positive too!

  • Reserve some time after school or in the evening to talk about your child's Kindergarten experience that day.

  • Read to your child everyday!

In our Kindergarten classroom each child has unique and changing needs which are addressed to foster self-esteem, an open mind, and individuality. The children will be provided with both academics and a proper social environment full of the experiences necessary to develop both an enthusiasm for learning and the skills needed for students to reach their maximum potential in the world today. Students will learn to respect one another and work towards feeling comfortable to ask questions, take risks and challenge themselves. I believe that with parent support, I can provide these opportunities for continuous growth and improvement through ongoing classroom interaction and assessment. We're in it together now...TEAM NAGY!!!

Absences: Please call the school (201-785-2336) on any morning that your child will be absent. As long as the Tisdale office has been notified it is not necessary to send in a written note.

*IMPORTANT*

If your child has any allergies to food or animals, please let myself and the school nurse know immediately.

Fondly,
