Are you a Rockin' Robin, a Chirpin' Chickadee, or a Beltin' Blue Jay? Our friends at Tisdale are divided into 3 singing families. Each group gathers once a month in the gym to celebrate our life in school, in our family, in our country, and in our world through song and dance. This is a unique and incredibly fun way to begin our Thursday morning and build a strong community with shared song at our school.
All of Tisdale School gathers the first Thursday of each month to explore and expand upon a character trait. We honor the Students of the Month, we salute the flag, sing our school song, the artist of the month is announced and off we go! Through story, dramatization, original poetry or conversation, every grade level has an opportunity to present their reflections on Respect, Responsibility, Perseverance, Honesty, Cooperation, Friendship and more. Music and dance strengthen these monthly gatherings.
Friends and family gather together for our annual December Holiday Sing! Each grade level presents musical selections highlighting the many different holiday and winter traditions we celebrate throughout the world.
The Third Graders welcome their Senior friends to Tisdale School every spring. This annual event includes cookies and cakes, coffee and tea, a musical presentation by the third grade, and a great sing along! Nobody will leave without a smile.
First and Second grade students participate in the Spring Sing. Held in May, this themed program includes singing, dancing, movement, and more! Tisdale's Spring Sing programs have featured American folk songs, silly songs, as well as the music of Disney and Broadway.
The Kindergarten friends recap their year by singing through the seasons. Held in June, this themed program includes singing, dancing, props, movement, and more!
