Welcome Back!

Welcome back Smith Families!

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones healthy and safe. The 2020-21 school year is upon us and our entire staff is excited to support your child. The entire Smith community has worked hard to prepare a learning experience like no other. Whether you are a Blue, Gold, or All-Remote student our goal is to ensure all of our students get the educational experience Ramsey expects. We understand there may be bumps in the road, however, our ability to be flexible and adapt to our changing environment is key.

I look forward to the moment when we can all be back in school together as one family. Until then, we will continue to work hard to prepare the Smith students for the future. I want to thank you for your patience and support throughout this summer and beyond.

Health Information from Our Smith School Nurse

Welcome back!

I look forward to meeting your children and providing health services this year as the school nurse.

There are a few changes in the Health Office to help ensure student's health & safety:

6 foot spacing between beds & chairs with physical barriers placed in between
A distanced grab & go basic First Aid station
Windows opened at all times for improved air circulation
A designated isolation space for individuals exhibiting any potential COVID signs & symptoms while in school

Patriot Day: September 11th, 2020

Today marks the 19 years since the September 11th terrorist attacks on the United States. We remember and honor those innocent civilians who lost their lives in these attacks, as well as our brave first responders who worked tirelessly to save as many lives as possible, and the many who gave their own lives protecting our country. Please take a moment today to reflect upon and mourn those we lost in this act of hatred and violence, and take pride in the acts of courage, unity, and bravery that was displayed by Americans all those years ago.

Our Back-To-School night was on Thursday, September 10th in a virtual landscape. Thank you to all of our wonderful staff members for your Zoom contributions, and thank you to all of our Smith families who were in attendance! It was a unique get-to-know you, but a wonderful opportunity for connection.
