Fort Collins is an excellent place to live with close proximity to many outdoor recreation opportunities. Horsetooth Mountain Open Space and Lory State Park have close to 100 miles of great trails only 20 minutes from Old Town. The Cache la Poudre River watershed just west of Fort Collins provides excellent opportunities for hiking, camping, fly fishing, whitewater activities, mountain biking, backcountry skiing, and rock climbing. Rocky Mountain National Park, Boulder, and Denver International Airport are all within a ~1 hour drive.
Working with Dr. White
I recognize that the quality of one's experience in graduate school largely depends on the graduate student - advisor relationship. I will work with you to identify your goals and help you make plans to achieve those goals. My goal is to foment an environment of open and clear communication and I will do my best to be available to discuss research. I expect that graduate students strive for academic excellence and work to produce high quality research suitable for submission for peer review in scientific journals.
