Our second graders are diving into the world of stop motion animation, experimenting with different materials to create fun, frame-by-frame stories. Students are learning the basic principles of stop motion, including the key idea that 12 frames per second equals 12 photos for just 1 second of animation. With each new task, they are challenged to capture even more frames and make their animations more detailed and precise.
As we move forward in our stop-motion unit, 2nd graders will get even more creative by using whiteboards as their canvas. They'll explore the magic of transitions, learning how to smoothly shift from one idea to the next, and adding even more exciting elements to their animations. It’s an exciting time for our young creators to bring their stories to life, one frame at a time!
