Classroom expectations:

1. The trick for being successful are the same for any course: stay organized, stay focused, and practice. Maintain a positive attitude.

2. Be present during class, both mentally and physically. Contribute to the discussions. Bring completed assignments, class notes, calculator. Keep a notebook just for Physics. A binder would be perfect.

3. If you are struggling come in for extra help: any day, unit lunch

Grading policies:

Your grade is calculated by the eSchool grading system based on the percentage entered by Mrs. Gheta. The grades will be determined as following:

1. Unit tests, mid terms, final exams, and major projects: 40%

2. Quizzes, and minor projects: 30%

3. Lab write-ups, and participation in lab experiments: 20 %

4. Homework, classroom assignments, and classroom participation: 10%

Grades can be found on parent portal.

Homework:

Homework is due at the beginning of class and will be graded 100% - 75% based on how much of the homework you attempted (effort with work shown). Late work is worth 50%.

Attendance and make-up work:

Absent students are expected to obtain and complete any assignments that they missed. Notes and worksheet could be found in the "absent" folder.
