Roller Derby is the ultimate DIY sport. Leagues like Rainier are non-profit organizations run by the skaters and officials. 

It takes a small army to put on a bout. It takes 7 skating officials, 9 non skating officials, 1 medic, and an announcer for a single bout. That's not counting door sales, merch, set up, clean up, marketing, coaches, and more!
