Hi! My name is Heather Stockton, and I’ve been an elementary school teacher since 1998. I have a Bachelor’s of Science in Early Childhood Education from Augusta State University and a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Piedmont College.
I enjoy challenging children to reach their maximum potential, so I added on a Gifted Endorsement in 2014. I began my career as a PreK teacher in 1998 in Augusta, Georgia. The following year, I began teaching 2nd grade at an inner city school in Augusta and stayed there for 4 years. I moved to Long Creek, SC in 2003 with my husband, Mike and was hired to teach 2nd grade at Rabun Gap Community School. I have been teaching 2nd grade in Rabun County ever since.
We have 3 boys, Eli, Silas, and Levi. My passions include children, animals, kayaking, camping, music, and reading. It’s going to be a great year at Rabun County Primary School, and I am truly blessed to be a part of your child’s life.
Go CATS!
