Are you new to R-PAS or the Rorschach in general?
No problem! Check out some free resources and tips below.
What is R-PAS?
The Rorschach Performance Assessment System (R-PAS) is a performance-based measure of personality and psychopathology. It has meta-analytic support for assessing a wide range of psychological phenomena, including psychosis and many other cognitive, behavioral, and perceptual characteristics. The testing conditions foster individualized solutions to a semi-ambiguous task, thereby providing a unique source for assessing qualities outside of the respondent's awareness. R-PAS is grounded in a normative foundation to standardize Rorschach assessment and reporting.
Understand people by what they see, say, and do... not just what they say about themselves.
How can I get started?
We recommend starting by signing up for an R-PAS account and getting your R-PAS manual. The manual provides detailed instructions on R-PAS administration, coding, and interpretation. Additionally, it includes 100 practice responses for coding and clinical case illustrations. Mastering Chapter 2 and 3 of the manual alongside coding the 100 practice responses should allow new learners to practice administration. Your learning experience is well-supplemented with the free resources mentioned below that are available in your R-PAS account.
More detailed recommendations on how to become proficient in R-PAS are listed in the document on the right.
For a more hands-on training experience, we also offer several online trainings. For learners new to the Rorschach, we recommend the course Introduction to R-PAS: Rationale, Administration, Coding, and Interpretation. This course is available as an online live training as well as an on-demand training with one live training session. All of our trainings can be found on our here.
