Making Chrome your default browser on a Windows computer allows you to seamlessly use Google products without having to continuously sign in.

Here's how to change the setting.

Click the Windows logo in the bottom left corner
Click on the second icon from the bottom of the menu (gear, cauliflower=settings)
Click on the APPs tile
On the left click Default APPs
Scroll down til you find Web browser
Click Microsoft Edge
Click Google Chrome
At the bottom of the dialog box click Switch Anyway

Creating a desktop shortcut is rather easy once you know how!

Open your Chrome browser
Go to the website you want to make the shortcut for
Resize your browser window so you can see the desktop (click the double box next to Close=X)
To the left of the address click and hold the Padlock icon
Drag to the desktop and let go of it when you see the + sign
Click the name of the icon if you would like to rename it
