Timekeeping (Mobile App)
Overview
This mobile application is used to record Timekeeping in BOS Enterprise for Travel and for Work. Timekeeping can be linked to Tasks or Transactions or linked to a Customer (unlinked). When you log time against Travel, you can also record your opening and closing odometer readings which will calculate the kilometers travelled.
The following use cases are supported:
Digital Production - Record time against assigned Tasks or against a Customer with a Reference.
Field Service - Record time against Travel or Work.
Navigation: ServerAddress:PortNo/timekeeping - eg. comapny.quickeasysoftware.com/timekeeping
Compatibility: BOS Enterprise 22.01
Transactions List View
This view displays all the Transactions, grouped by Periods (Due Date): Earlier, Today (expanded by default), Tomorrow and Later. The Refresh button can be used to update the list without reloading the App. When a Transaction (Task or Work Order) is done, you can set it to a Complete status to remove it from the list.
Transactions are displayed if they meet the following conditions:
The Transaction is in an Active Status
The User is assigned in the Transaction Header or Assigned list of Users
The Transaction is listed in one of the Settings below: Digital Production Tasks or Field Service Work Orders.
Tap on a transaction to view the following Action menu:
Start Travel - Visible when the user is not currently logging time.
Start Work - Visible when the user is not currently logging time.
View Detail - Opens the detail view including Notes and Attachments.
Complete - Set the selected transaction to the default Complete status which removes it from the Transaction list. Visible when the user is not currently logging time.
Navigate - Opens Google Maps with the Customer Address as the destination.
How to Start Timekeeping
Linked to a Transaction
Tap the required Transaction and select Start Travel or Start Work from the action list. This will open an edit form which displays:
Transaction details: Reference, Customer, Contact and Asset (If applicable)
Timekeeping fields:
Reference (Optional - select from a Lookup list)
Note (Optional - type a note if required)
Travel fields (when applicable):
Address - The Address of the linked Customer
Odometer Start, Odometer Stop and Km
Notes - linked to the transaction flow, including responses linked to the SM
Attachments - linked to the transaction flow
Unlinked
Tap the blue Travel or Work buttons next to the Start (Unlinked) caption at the top of the form. This will open an edit form which displays:
Customer - Select from a lookup list
Reference - (Optional - select from a Lookup list)
Note (Optional - type a note if required)
Travel fields (when applicable) - Odometer Start, Odometer Stop and Km
How to edit an active Timekeeping record
Tap the Edit button at the top of the transaction list which is only visible if you have an active timekeeping record. This will open the edit form which allows you to update the Reference, Note and Travel information.
The Back button will automatically save your changes.
How to Stop Timekeeping
Tap the Stop button at the top of the transaction list which is only visible if you have an active timekeeping record. This will open the edit form which allows you to add a Note or update your travel details before you confirm by clicking the Stop button once more.

General Settings > Production > Tasks Transaction - Identifies the transaction used in Digital Production Tasks
Transaction Settings > Tracker > Module: Field Service - Identifies the Transaction/s used for Field Service Work Orders.
Timekeeping > Menu (button) > Edit Reference lookup list
Setup > Transactions > Status - Link a Status to Default = Complete
