Trees For Survival Programme
QPS has been part of the Trees for Survival Programme since 2015. TFS is a charitable trust that operates in over 150 schools across NZ.
This is an environmental science programme where students grow seedling trees in our Growing Unit at school, to plant out in our community.
We raise approximately 500 trees each year and have held planting days at Moke Lake, Matakauri Wetland, Kiwi Birdlife Park and Arthurs Point.
It is an opportunity to form partnerships with our sponsors Accor Hotels, the landowners, and community groups such as DOC, QLDC, WRT, KAPOW and for the students to learn about horticulture, biodiversity and sustainability.
