The College of Sciences is considered as the scientific pulpit for the University of Al-Qadisiyah, and it was founded in 2001 as part of the expansion which happened at the University. The College aims to provide effective, and scientifically and practically distinguished cadre to promote the movement of the scientific research and encourage the creative research in order to be highly efficient in the performance of their scientific and professional mission, and to be able to actively participate in nation-building, in addition to providing our students with the scientific expertise which is relevant to the their disciplines to enable them to apply that in the real life.
The The College of Sciences, , builds the foundations needed for critical thinking as well as career success in programs ranging from Mathematics to the chemical, biological and ecological sciences. You’ll learn inside and outside of the classroom and lab by participating in research and field work on the different areas in Al-Diwaniah City.
Many of our faculty are ranked among the best scientists. A majority support their research via grants awarded by governmental. Faculty members have won many national and international awards for research and teaching such as new patents and best research award in Iraq.
Our students are also among the university’s most accomplished. Many conduct research with faculty, publishing in scientific journals and winning awards for presentations at national meetings.
