Department of Biology is looking forward to a bright future by students and graduates who are aware of the concept of life and development. They can build the new Iraq to rise to the level of developed countries. The department should be a center and a stimulating environment for professors, faculty members, and students in the field of biology. And it should be a center for attracting researchers, competencies, and expertise in the biology field, making its students an influential contrbution to the local, Arab, and international levels.
Department Message
Department of Biology aims to build a specialized staff of academically and professionally qualified teachers capable of graduating an educated, developed, and cultured generation in intermediate and secondary schools. It should prpaire researchers who are able to provide the community with researchs that capable of solving many of society's health, economic and environmental problems. Finally, finding solutions to many of society's problems and meeting the market's requirements. These can be achieved through:
1. Encouragement of faculty members to innovate, increase knowledge, and participate in scientific forums such as courses, conferences, and workshops would advance the department.
2. Providing students with many major and required skills in the market in various disciplines of biology by providing them with knowledge and science in ways that keeps up with the development taking place in the world.
3. Developing the syllabus and laboratories in line with the requirements of the market and the developments taking place in society in a way that raises the department to keeps up with departments in international universities.
4. Effective contribution to the development of society and providing the market with lots of information and experiences through conferences, scientific seminars, workshops, and panel discussions.
5. Preparing a generation of researchers who can conduct research that will solve many health, environmental, nutritional, and veterinary problems.
