Ahmed Abdulameer Abdulradha Shubbar is Professor of Sports Biomechanics at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Al-Qadisiyah, Iraq. He was promoted to the rank of Professor in 2016 and served as Dean of the College from December 2019 to June 2023. His academic career integrates university teaching, scientific research, graduate supervision, and institutional leadership in biomechanics and human movement science.
His research focuses on the quantitative analysis of athletic performance, human movement, neuromuscular coordination, and evidence-based training. He employs high-speed video, surface electromyography, plantar-pressure and gait-analysis systems, and data-driven approaches, including AI-assisted markerless motion analysis. His work aims to translate biomechanical evidence into improved movement technique, athletic performance, and injury-related assessment, with particular interest in volleyball and other team sports.
He teaches movement analysis and advanced sports biomechanics, supervises graduate research, and contributes to curriculum development, scientific committees, and academic evaluation. He welcomes international collaboration in sports biomechanics, movement analysis, and technology-assisted performance research.
