Meely is a social communication platform brought to you by MBit Music Inc. Our mission is to promote global connectivity through high-quality video and voice sessions while maintaining a transparent approach to user privacy.
We collect various types of information to ensure a seamless and secure experience. This processing is necessary for the performance of the contract between you and us.
i. Registration and Personal Identifiers
To facilitate account management and identification, we may require certain personally identifiable information. This information is primarily stored locally on your device's internal memory to ensure maximum user control and is not actively collected or harvested by our central servers for secondary purposes.
ii. Comprehensive Device Permissions & Access Logic
The Service requires specific hardware and software permissions to function. We only access these when the App is in use or as required by system protocols:
INTERNET Access: Permits essential network communication. This is required for establishing signaling protocols, real-time media streaming, and maintaining server connectivity during high-definition video and voice sessions.
CAMERA Permissions: Grants the App access to the device’s front and rear cameras. This is strictly for capturing and transmitting your local video feed to remote participants during active calls.
RECORD_AUDIO (Microphone): Authorizes microphone access to capture and transmit your voice in real-time. This ensures high-fidelity audio during your social interactions.
MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS: Allows the application to intelligently control audio routing (e.g., switching between earpiece and speakerphone), manage volume levels, and optimize session-specific configurations for a clear call experience.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Since Android 13, this is mandatory to deliver system-level alerts for incoming calls, call status, and missed activity, ensuring you stay connected with your circle.
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Provides the capability to monitor your current connectivity (Wi-Fi vs. Cellular). This enables graceful degradation of video quality in low-bandwidth areas and provides user warnings when internet access is unavailable.
iii. Technical Logs and Metadata
Whenever an error or "crash" occurs, we collect "Log Data" through third-party analytics products. This data includes your device's IP address, device name, operating system version, the time and date of use, and internal App configurations at the moment of the error. We use this strictly for debugging and service optimization.
Meely is an ad-supported service provided at no cost. While we do not use "cookies" explicitly for our own features, the App integrates third-party code and libraries (SDKs) that may use cookies or unique advertising identifiers (such as Google's GAID) to collect information and improve their services.
