1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Sai Jyothi App (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the ZoneTrack: GPS Family Locator mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before use.
2. Information We Collect
ZoneTrack is a real-time family location sharing app. It collects and transmits location data to enable its core features. Here is exactly what the App collects and why:
A. Precise Location Data (GPS)
When you enable location sharing, the App accesses your device’s precise GPS location and transmits it to our servers so it can be displayed to the family and friends you have chosen to share with. Your location is only shared with connected contacts who you have explicitly chosen to connect with using your personal invite code or a Circle group code. You control who sees your location at all times.
B. Background Location Data
ZoneTrack requests permission to access your location in the background (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION) so that live location sharing, Zone arrival and departure alerts, and SOS location accuracy remain active even when the App is minimized or the screen is off. Background location access is the core function of the App and is used only for the location sharing and Zone alerting features described in this policy. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the real-time family safety features you have enabled. You will be guided through a dedicated Android system permission screen to grant this access, and you can revoke it at any time in your Android Settings.
C. Friend, Circle & Zone Data
Friend connections, Circle memberships, invite codes, and Zone configurations (including Zone name, type, location, and radius) are stored on our servers to enable the real-time sync of location sharing and Zone alerts between connected users.
D. App Performance Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which features are used most often and how the App performs across different devices. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your identity.
E. Advertising Identifier & Device Information
We use the Android Advertising ID along with general device information such as device model and operating system version to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help our advertising partners detect and prevent fraudulent activity. This is not linked to personally identifying information.
3. Log Data
When an error occurs in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools, referred to as Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, App configuration at the time of the error, the time and date of occurrence, and other related statistics. Log Data is used solely for debugging and improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.
4. Cookies
The App itself does not use cookies directly. However, some of our third-party advertising and analytics partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can review each partner’s practices through the privacy policy links in Section 5.
5. Third-Party SDKs Used in This App
ZoneTrack uses the following third-party services to deliver ads, measure performance, and support core functionality. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, linked below:
• AdMob
• Pangle
• AppLovin
• Meta
Note: this list reflects the SDKs currently integrated into ZoneTrack. If we add other partners in the future, this section will be updated before that change takes effect.
6. Permissions Used by This App
ZoneTrack requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific feature:
• Precise Location (GPS) — Core permission for live location sharing, Zone alerts, and SOS. Location is transmitted to our servers only to display your position to connected family and friends you have chosen to share with.
• Approximate Location — Fallback location when precise GPS is temporarily unavailable. Always requested together with precise location per Android requirements.
• Background Location — Required for live location sharing, Zone arrival/departure alerts, and SOS to function when the App is minimized. Granted through a dedicated Android system permission screen. Can be revoked at any time in Settings.
• Post Notifications — Used for Zone arrival/departure alerts, friend request notifications, SOS alerts, and the ongoing foreground service notification while location sharing is active.
• Foreground Service & Foreground Service Location — Used to keep the location sharing service running reliably in the background. A persistent notification is always shown while the service is active, giving you full visibility and control.
• Receive Boot Completed — Used to automatically resume the location sharing service after the device restarts, ensuring Zone alerts and SOS remain active without requiring you to manually reopen the App.
• Internet, Network State & Wi-Fi State — Used to sync real-time location updates, Zone data, friend connections, and Circle data with our servers, and to load advertising content.
7. How We Use Your Information
We use the information collected through ZoneTrack to:
• Display your real-time location to the family and friends you have chosen to share with
• Send Zone arrival and departure alerts when you or a connected contact enters or leaves a Zone
• Deliver SOS alerts with location to your connected Circle in emergencies
• Sync friend connections, Circle memberships, and Zone configurations between connected users
• Deliver and measure advertising within the App
• Analyze aggregate, anonymized App usage to improve features and performance
8. Consent & Location Sharing Policy
ZoneTrack is designed for consensual location sharing between people who choose to connect. Location sharing between users only begins when an invite code or Circle code is accepted by both parties. The App must not be used to track any person without their full knowledge and explicit consent. Secret tracking of any individual without their awareness is a violation of this policy and of applicable laws in most jurisdictions. You can turn off your location sharing, leave a Circle, or remove a friend at any time to stop your location from being visible to that contact.
9. Advertising
ZoneTrack is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google’s Ad Settings page. Ad partners may use your advertising ID and general device data to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies linked in Section 5.
10. How We Protect Your Information
• Location data is transmitted using encrypted connections between your device and our servers.
• Your location is only visible to contacts you have explicitly chosen to connect with.
• Background location is used exclusively for the location sharing and Zone alerting features you have enabled.
• Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it is not linked back to you individually.
• We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information, though no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR):
• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data where applicable
• Ask us to restrict how your data is processed
• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
• Object to processing carried out under legitimate interest
If you are located in California (CCPA):
• Ask us what categories of personal information we collect and why
• Request the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months
• Opt out of the sale of personal information — note that we do not sell personal information
• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
• Exercise any of these rights without facing reduced service or a worse experience
Your in-app controls:
• Turn location sharing on or off at any time from within the App
• Leave any Circle or remove any friend connection at any time
• Use the Invisible List to hide your location from specific contacts
• Revoke background location permission at any time from Android Settings → Apps → ZoneTrack → Permissions
To exercise GDPR or CCPA rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within 45 days of verifying your request.
12. Children’s Privacy
ZoneTrack is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. The App may be used by parents to share location with their minor children where the child’s device is set up with parental awareness and consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without appropriate parental consent, please contact us so we can investigate and address the issue promptly, consistent with COPPA and other applicable laws.
13. Data Retention
Real-time location data is stored on our servers only as long as it is needed to deliver live location sharing to your connected contacts. Historical location data is retained for a limited period to support Zone alert accuracy and is not stored indefinitely. Friend connections, Circle memberships, and Zone configurations are retained while you have an active account and are deleted upon account removal. Log data collected for diagnostic purposes is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the relevant technical issue. Data processed by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s own retention policy, linked in Section 5.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
