1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how MBit Music (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the FluentNex: AI English Speaking mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before use.

2. Information We Collect

The App collects only the information necessary to deliver its core learning features:

A. Voice & Audio Input

FluentNex uses your device microphone for AI tutor voice conversations, speaking practice sessions, pronunciation assessment, and interview practice. Voice input is processed in real time to generate feedback and is not stored on our servers or shared with any third party. Audio is used solely within the active session to power the App’s voice-based learning features.

B. Learning Progress & Activity Data

The App tracks your lesson completions, quiz scores, weekly activity, success rate, and learning streak locally on your device. This data powers your progress dashboard and weekly report. It is stored on your device only and is not uploaded to our servers.

C. App Performance Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which features are accessed most and how the App performs across different devices. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your identity.

D. Advertising Identifier & Device Information

We use the Android Advertising ID along with general device information such as device model and operating system version to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help our advertising partners detect and prevent fraudulent activity. This is not linked to personally identifying information.

3. Log Data

When an error occurs in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools, referred to as Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, App configuration at the time of the error, the time and date of the occurrence, and other related statistics. Log Data is used solely for debugging and improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.

4. Cookies

The App itself does not use cookies directly. However, some of our third-party advertising and analytics partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can review each partner’s practices through the privacy policy links in Section 5.

5. Third-Party SDKs Used in This App

FluentNex uses the following third-party services to deliver ads, measure performance, and support core functionality. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, linked below:

6. Permissions Used by This App

FluentNex requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific learning feature:

Internet — Used to connect to online services, make AI tutor API calls, load lesson content, and deliver ads.
Record Audio (Microphone) — Used for all voice-based features: AI tutor conversations, speaking practice, pronunciation assessment, and job interview practice. Voice input is processed to deliver real-time feedback only and is never stored or transmitted.
Exact Alarm — Used to schedule daily lesson reminders, study schedule alerts, and learning streak notifications at the user’s chosen times.
Receive Boot Completed — Used to restore scheduled study reminders and learning notifications after the device restarts, so the user’s reminder schedule is maintained automatically without needing to reopen the App.
Post Notifications — Used to send daily study reminders, learning streak alerts, and other important App notifications to help users maintain a consistent practice habit.

7. Service Providers

We may engage third-party companies and individuals to support delivery of the App and its features. These service providers have access to information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf and are not permitted to use or disclose it for any other purpose. Reasons we may engage service providers include:

Delivering and measuring advertising within the App
Analyzing App usage and performance
Powering AI tutor conversation and voice feedback features
Diagnosing technical issues and supporting App maintenance

8. Advertising

FluentNex is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google’s Ad Settings page. Ad partners may use your advertising ID and general device data to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies linked in Section 5.

9. Voice Data & AI Processing

All voice input captured through the App’s microphone is used exclusively to power real-time learning features such as pronunciation scoring, AI tutor responses, and interview practice feedback. We do not record, store, retain, or sell your voice data. Audio is processed in the moment of interaction only. Once your session ends or you close a feature, no audio data persists on our servers or is accessible to us in any form.

10. How We Protect Your Information

Voice recordings are never stored or transmitted — they are processed on-session only and discarded immediately after use.
Learning progress and activity data is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our servers.
Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it is not linked back to you individually.
We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information that passes through our systems, though no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR):

Request access to the personal data we hold about you
Ask us to correct inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data where applicable
Ask us to restrict how your data is processed
Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
Object to processing carried out under legitimate interest

If you are located in California (CCPA):

Ask us what categories of personal information we collect and why
Request the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months
Opt out of the sale of personal information — note that we do not sell personal information
Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions
Exercise any of these rights without facing reduced service or a worse experience

To exercise any of the above rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within 45 days of verifying your request, with a possible extension of a further 45 days for complex requests, with notice to you.

12. Children’s Privacy

FluentNex is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it promptly, consistent with COPPA and other applicable laws.

13. Data Retention

Voice recordings are not retained at any point — they are processed during your active session only and are not stored by us. Learning progress data is retained locally on your device until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Log data collected for diagnostic purposes is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the relevant technical issue. Data processed by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s own retention policy, linked in Section 5.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
