1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes Austin Devs Here (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the FlipVox: Voice Flip Challenge mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before use.

2. Information We Collect

FlipVox is a voice and audio creative tool. Here is exactly what the App accesses and why:

A. Voice & Audio Recordings

The App uses your device microphone to record audio for the reverse challenge, voice changer, ambient layering, AI voice notes, and all other voice-based features. Voice recordings processed for local audio effects (reverse, pitch, speed, voice changer, ambient sounds) are handled entirely on your device and are never uploaded to our servers. Voice recordings submitted for AI-powered features such as transcription, summarization, and translation are transmitted to our AI service provider solely to generate the requested output. Recordings are not retained by us after the result is returned.

B. AI Voice Notes — Transcription, Summarization & Translation

When you use AI Voice Notes, your spoken audio is converted to text using speech-to-text services. The resulting transcript may be further processed for AI summarization or translation into your chosen language. These AI features require an internet connection. The content of your voice notes is transmitted to our AI service provider only to generate the requested output and is not stored by us or shared for any other purpose.

C. Imported Audio Files

When you import existing audio files from your device for effects processing, those files are accessed locally on your device only. Imported files are not uploaded to our servers.

D. App Performance Analytics

We use Firebase Analytics, Google Analytics, and Adjust to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which features are accessed most often, how users navigate the App, and how it performs across different devices. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your identity.

E. Advertising Identifier & Device Information

We use the Android Advertising ID along with general device information such as device model and operating system version to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help our advertising partners detect and prevent fraudulent activity. This is not linked to personally identifying information.

3. Log Data

When an error occurs in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools, referred to as Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, App configuration at the time of the error, the time and date of occurrence, and other related statistics. Log Data is used solely for debugging and improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.

4. Cookies

The App itself does not use cookies directly. However, some of our third-party advertising and analytics partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can review each partner’s practices through the privacy policy links in Section 5.

5. Third-Party SDKs Used in This App

FlipVox uses the following third-party services to deliver ads, measure performance, and support core functionality. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, linked below:

Note: this list reflects the SDKs currently integrated into FlipVox. If we add other partners in the future, this section will be updated before that change takes effect.

6. Permissions Used by This App

FlipVox requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific feature:

• Record Audio (Microphone) — Used for all voice recording features including the reverse challenge, voice changer, ambient layering, AI voice notes, and audio effects. Local audio processing (reverse, pitch, speed, effects) happens on-device only. AI features (transcription, translation) transmit audio to our service provider only to generate the requested result.

• Internet — Used to connect to AI services for transcription, summarization, and translation, and to load advertising content. Basic offline features (reverse, voice changer, ambient sounds) work without an internet connection.

• Network State — Used to check internet connectivity so the App can correctly determine when AI features are available and display appropriate offline notices.

7. Service Providers

We may engage third-party companies and individuals to support delivery of the App and its features. These service providers have access to information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf and are not permitted to use or disclose it for any other purpose. Reasons we may engage service providers include:

• Delivering AI transcription, summarization, and translation services

• Delivering and measuring advertising within the App

• Analyzing App usage, performance, and user engagement

• Diagnosing technical issues and supporting App maintenance

8. Advertising

FlipVox is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google’s Ad Settings page. Ad partners may use your advertising ID and general device data to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies linked in Section 5.

9. Voice Data & AI Processing

FlipVox processes voice data in two distinct ways depending on the feature used: On-device processing (no internet required): Reverse audio, voice changer effects, ambient sound layering, pitch shifting, speed control, and loop playback all run entirely on your device. No audio data is uploaded or transmitted for these features. AI-powered processing (internet required): Transcription, summarization, and translation features transmit your voice recording or transcript to our AI service provider to generate the requested output. We do not retain recordings or transcripts after the result is returned, and we do not use your voice content to train AI models or share it for marketing purposes.

10. How We Protect Your Information

• Voice recordings used for local effects are never uploaded or stored outside your device.

• Voice recordings submitted for AI features are transmitted only to generate your requested result and are not retained by us afterward.

• Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it is not linked back to you individually.

• We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information that passes through our systems, though no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR):

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you

• Ask us to correct inaccurate data

• Request deletion of your data where applicable

• Ask us to restrict how your data is processed

• Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format

• Object to processing carried out under legitimate interest

If you are located in California (CCPA):

• Ask us what categories of personal information we collect and why

• Request the personal information we have collected about you in the past 12 months

• Opt out of the sale of personal information — note that we do not sell personal information

• Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain legal exceptions

• Exercise any of these rights without facing reduced service or a worse experience

To exercise any of the above rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within 45 days of verifying your request, with a possible extension of a further 45 days for complex requests, with notice to you.

12. Children’s Privacy

FlipVox is rated for ages 3 and above. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 in a way that would require us to collect personal information from them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it promptly, consistent with COPPA and other applicable laws.

13. Data Retention

Voice recordings processed for local audio effects are not retained by us at any point — they are handled on-device and discarded after the effect is applied. Voice recordings submitted for AI features are not retained by us after the result is returned to you. Audio files saved within the App are stored locally on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Log data collected for diagnostic purposes is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the relevant technical issue. Data processed by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s own retention policy, linked in Section 5.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
