Privacy Policy — FinLedge: Expense & Loan Track
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Vuay Online Services Pvt Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the FinLedge: Expense & Loan Track mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before use.
2. Information We Collect
FinLedge is an offline-first personal finance app. All financial data you enter stays on your device. Here is exactly what the App accesses and why:
A. Financial Records Stored On Your Device
All income, expense, and loan entries you record in the App — including amounts, categories, dates, notes, person names, and budget configurations — are saved in a local database on your phone only. This financial data is never uploaded to our servers, never transmitted to any third party, and never leaves your device.
B. Live Exchange Rate Data
When you switch currency, the App makes an internet request to fetch the latest exchange rate for the selected currency pair. This request does not include any of your personal or financial data — it is a standard rate lookup only. The fetched rate is applied locally to convert your existing records on-device.
C. App Performance Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which features are accessed most often and how the App performs across different devices. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your identity.
D. Advertising Identifier & Device Information
We use the Android Advertising ID along with general device information such as device model and operating system version to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help our advertising partners detect and prevent fraudulent activity. This is not linked to personally identifying information.
3. Log Data
When an error occurs in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools, referred to as Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, App configuration at the time of the error, the time and date of occurrence, and other related statistics. Log Data is used solely for debugging and improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.
4. Cookies
The App itself does not use cookies directly. However, some of our third-party advertising and analytics partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can review each partner’s practices through the privacy policy links in Section 5.
5. Third-Party SDKs Used in This App
FinLedge uses the following third-party services to deliver ads, measure performance, and support core functionality. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, linked below:
• AdMob
• Pangle
• AppLovin
• Meta
Note: this list reflects the SDKs currently integrated into FinLedge. If we add other partners in the future, this section will be updated before that change takes effect.
6. Permissions Used by This App
FinLedge requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific feature:
• Internet — Used to load online advertisements and to fetch live currency exchange rates when you switch currencies. Your personal financial data is never transmitted through this permission.
• Network State & Wi-Fi State — Used to check internet connectivity status so the App loads online content only when a connection is available, and shows appropriate offline notices otherwise.
• Post Notifications — Used to send budget limit alerts and important app reminders. Required as a runtime permission on Android 13 and above. You can allow or deny this permission at any time from your device settings.
7. Service Providers
We may engage third-party companies and individuals to support delivery of the App and its features. These service providers have access to information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf and are not permitted to use or disclose it for any other purpose. Reasons we may engage service providers include:
• Delivering and measuring advertising within the App
• Analyzing App usage and performance
• Providing live currency exchange rate data
• Diagnosing technical issues and supporting App maintenance
8. Advertising
FinLedge is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google’s Ad Settings page. Ad partners may use your advertising ID and general device data to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies linked in Section 5.
9. On-Device Processing & Data Minimization
FinLedge is built on a privacy-first, offline-first principle. All financial records — income, expenses, loans, budgets, notes, person names, and currency settings — are stored in a local database on your device only. None of this information is uploaded to our servers, shared with third parties, or transmitted anywhere. The only internet activity the App initiates is fetching currency exchange rates (no personal data included) and loading advertisements. No account creation is required and the App is fully functional without an internet connection.
10. How We Protect Your Information
• All financial data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers or shared with any third party.
• Currency rate requests contain no personal or financial data — they are anonymous lookups only.
• Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it is not linked back to you individually.
• We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information that passes through our systems, though no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR):
• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data where applicable
• Ask us to restrict how your data is processed

To exercise any of the above rights, contact us using the details in Section 14. We will respond within 45 days of verifying your request, with a possible extension of a further 45 days for complex requests, with notice to you.
12. Children’s Privacy
FinLedge is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children in that age group. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it promptly, consistent with COPPA and other applicable laws.
13. Data Retention
All financial records, budgets, and settings are stored locally on your device and remain there until you delete them within the App, clear app data, or uninstall the App. We do not retain copies of your financial data on our servers at any point. Log data collected for diagnostic purposes is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the relevant technical issue. Data processed by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s own retention policy, linked in Section 5.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
