Privacy Policy — CtrlDock: Smart Control Panel
Last updated: August 12, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how Austin Devs (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and handles information in connection with the CtrlDock: Smart Control Panel mobile application (the “App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy. Please read it carefully before use.
2. Information We Collect
CtrlDock is a device customization and control utility. It interacts with several Android system features to deliver its core functions. Here is exactly what is accessed and why:
A. Accessibility Service Data
The App uses Android Accessibility Services exclusively to enable on-screen assistive features including the Assistive Touch floating panel, Home, Back, and Lock Screen shortcuts, and gesture-based actions. This permission is used only to perform visible, user-initiated actions on your screen. No accessibility data, keystrokes, text input, screen content, or user interactions are collected, recorded, stored, or transmitted at any time.
B. Notification Listener Data
The Notification Listener permission is used only to display supported notifications in the customized Notification Panel and Dynamic Island overlay. Notification content is rendered on-screen for your viewing only and is never stored, logged, transmitted, or shared with any third party.
C. Bluetooth Device Detection
Bluetooth permissions are used to display Bluetooth connection status and provide Bluetooth controls within the Control Center. The BLUETOOTH_SCAN permission is used to detect nearby Bluetooth devices for Control Center display purposes only. No information about detected Bluetooth devices is collected, stored, or transmitted.
D. Device Settings Access
The WRITE_SETTINGS permission is used to adjust supported device settings such as brightness and audio through the Control Panel. The MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS permission is used to control media and system volume through the Assistive Volume and Control Center features. These permissions act on your device locally only and do not transmit any data externally.
E. App Performance Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics and Google Analytics to understand how the App is used in aggregate — for example, which features are accessed most often and how the App performs across different devices. This data is anonymized and is not linked to your identity.
F. Advertising Identifier & Device Information
We use the Android Advertising ID along with general device information such as device model and operating system version to deliver relevant ads, measure ad performance, and help our advertising partners detect and prevent fraudulent activity. This is not linked to personally identifying information.
3. Log Data
When an error occurs in the App, we may collect diagnostic information through third-party tools, referred to as Log Data. This may include your device’s Internet Protocol (IP) address, device name, operating system version, App configuration at the time of the error, the time and date of occurrence, and other related statistics. Log Data is used solely for debugging and improving App stability and is not linked to your identity.
4. Cookies
The App itself does not use cookies directly. However, some of our third-party advertising and analytics partners may use cookies and similar tracking technologies. You can review each partner’s practices through the privacy policy links in Section 5.
5. Third-Party SDKs Used in This App
CtrlDock uses the following third-party services to deliver ads, measure performance, and support core functionality. Each provider operates under its own privacy policy, linked below:
• AdMob
• Pangle
• AppLovin
• Meta
Note: this list reflects the SDKs currently integrated into CtrlDock. If we add other partners in the future, this section will be updated before that change takes effect.
6. Permissions Used by This App
CtrlDock requests the following Android permissions, each tied to a specific feature:

7. Service Providers
We may engage third-party companies and individuals to support delivery of the App and its features. These service providers have access to information only as necessary to perform tasks on our behalf and are not permitted to use or disclose it for any other purpose. Reasons we may engage service providers include:
• Delivering and measuring advertising within the App
• Analyzing App usage and performance
• Diagnosing technical issues and supporting App maintenance
8. Advertising
CtrlDock is free to use and is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob and its mediation partners, including Pangle, Mintegral, AppLovin, Liftoff Monetize, and Meta. You can review or adjust your ad personalization settings at any time through Google’s Ad Settings page. Ad partners may use your advertising ID and general device data to serve relevant ads, governed by their own privacy policies linked in Section 5.
9. Sensitive Permission Statement
CtrlDock uses several permissions that interact with sensitive Android system features. The following explicit statements apply:
• Accessibility Services: We do not use Accessibility Services to collect, monitor, record, or transmit any user data, interactions, screen content, keystrokes, or personal information. This permission is used solely to perform on-screen assistive actions (Home, Back, Lock, gestures, floating controls) as initiated and visible to the user.
• Notification Listener: We do not store, transmit, analyze, or share notification content from any app. Notifications are read only to render them visually in the customized Notification Panel and Dynamic Island overlay.
• Bluetooth Scan: We do not collect, store, or share information about nearby Bluetooth devices. This permission is used only to display Bluetooth connection status in the Control Center.
10. How We Protect Your Information
• Accessibility, notification, and Bluetooth data are never collected, stored, or transmitted — all interactions remain on your device only.
• Device settings changes made through the App are applied locally and not recorded or shared.
• Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; it is not linked back to you individually.
• We apply reasonable technical safeguards to protect information that passes through our systems, though no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.
If you are located in the European Economic Area (GDPR):

12. Children’s Privacy

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can investigate and remove it promptly, consistent with COPPA and other applicable laws.
13. Data Retention
Accessibility, notification, and Bluetooth data are not retained at any point — they are used in real time for on-screen display and are never stored by us. User preferences and Control Panel configurations are stored locally on your device and remain there until you uninstall the App or clear its data. Log data collected for diagnostic purposes is kept only as long as necessary to resolve the relevant technical issue. Data processed by our analytics and advertising partners is retained according to each partner’s own retention policy, linked in Section 5.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as the App evolves or as legal requirements change. Any updates take effect as soon as they are posted on this page. Continuing to use the App after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We recommend checking this page periodically to stay informed.
