Career Center students are celebrating National CTE Month in February!
CTE Director Eric Turbyfill, Counselor Dana Mayo, and student club presidents, Megan Williams (TSA), Breland Abston (Ed Rising), Kaylee Jones (FFA), (not pictured Ciara Nicholson FCCLA) and Patti Watson (HOSA), met with Quitman Mayor Steve Watkins to sign a proclamation supporting Career Education.
TV Broadcasting students competed at TSA State Competition in March. These amazing students competed at Technology Student Association state competition against students from all over the state. They succeeded in taking home multiple wins including 1st place in audio podcasting, 1st place in music production, 2nd place in promotional design & marketing, and 3rd place in future technology & engineering teacher categories. The winning students will represent Quitman at National TSA competition in Orlando, FL this summer.

The CCCTC prepares students for career pathways in the global marketplace by offering experiential learning, real-world applications, and industry certifications. The CCCTC will encourage development in technical and high-level academic skills, inspire leadership through student organizations, and empower students to be lifelong learners.
Our goal is to empower all CTE students to confidently and successfully transition into post-secondary and career opportunities and become positive, contributing members of society.
