This is Mrs. Rasmussen’s 31st year teaching in Quincy. Currently, she serves as Teacher-Librarian at Quincy High School. Mrs. Rasmussen received her schooling at Eastern Washington University, where she obtained her BA in Education.
In 1997, Mrs. Rasmussen was selected as NCESD Teacher of the year, and she competed as one of nine finalists for Washington State Teacher of the Year. In 2005, Mrs. Rasmussen was Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year, and in 2017, she was voted by her colleagues as Quincy High School Teacher of the Year. These awards mean a lot to Mrs. Rasmussen, and she proudly hangs them in her office in the high school library.
Mrs. Rasmussen resides in Quincy, Washington, with her husband, Mr. Rasmussen, who she has been happily married to for the past 38 years. Together, they have three children and six grandchildren.
Mrs. Rasmussen enjoys reading, gardening, playing with her grandchildren, traveling, and, most of all, she loves spending time with her family.
