Security

• Quincy Public Schools has a new security system called Open Gate for everyone's safety. 

Tips for the new system.

• Arrive a little earlier than you normally would. 

• Walk at a normal pace through the middle of the Open Gate system at least an arm's length behind the person in front of you. 

• Only bring items that are necessary. The following items may trigger the system: 

metal eyeglass case, cameras, stadium chairs, binoculars, umbrella, products in metal containers, eye lash curlers, computers, and other personal care items that contain metal. 

• Cell phones, wallets, and keys will not trigger the Open Gate system.
