ELA Curriculum

In reading, we spend a lot of time reading quality children's literature. This literature includes picture books, chapter books, newspaper and magazine articles, poems, and more. We utilize various educational resources such as the Journeys reading series, Ready NY textbook, Readworks articles, as well as novels for our units of study.

We will be completing various novel studies during the school year! These are always a highlight of the students' ELA instruction!

Our fall chapter book is The Mouse & The Motorcycle by Beverly Cleary.

Our winter chapter book is The Magic Treehouse: Revolutionary War on Sunday.

Our spring chapter book is Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
