8th Grade Social Studies

Grade 8 Social Studies picks up at the end of 7th grade starting with Post Civil War Reconstruction and focuses on the domestic and international policies of the United States from the 1860's until the late 1900's. If there is time available we will discuss the Modern History of the 2000's as well, and throughout the year we will draw comparisons and parallels to the past and future to bridge connections across time.
