My name is Giselle Galarza. I am a hard-working student at QMC with a motivation to enhance my photography skills. I had decided to take graphic design and photography class because photography has always been a hobby of mine. Being able to experience and be given an opportunity to work on my skills in a classroom makes it easier for me to learn. I also wanted a reason to take pictures during school.

Hi, I am Alisha and I am a senior. I started virtually learning this year and some of last year so I would procrastinate more than I probably should have. After a while I decided to go back to school. I started actually putting in effort and it turned out to be successful. Some of my photos even impressed a couple of my peers. I realized I really do have an artist's eye. In my portfolio I tried to show the emotions of the earth and how beautiful nature actually is. I also tried to show that the more you take in the more beautiful stuff turns into.

My name is Emma LaLumiere and I am a senior at Quinebaug Middle College. I have captured five photographs as a part of my Yearbook course. I decided to take this art course since I love photography and I figured this class would be great to finish off my senior year. The title of this collection is ¨Appreciation of Nature During the Pandemic¨ The story behind this collection is that while we were in the pandemic, we really did not take a moment to just appreciate our surroundings. During the pandemic, my depression went to a whole new low. When I went outside though and appreciated nature, it really helped me feel better, which is what inspired me to take these pictures. The emotions I tried to capture were freedom, happiness, and relief.

I am Mckayla Noonan and I have been taking yearbook class both semesters this year. Taking yearbook has opened my eyes seeing how much thought and effort is really put into the yearbooks every year.
All my photography I have taken in this class for my final is all sunset related. I chose to do sunsets because ever since I have been able to go out, especially in the summer the sunset / sunrises are always views I am dying to see. My entire phone is filled with sunset photos. That reason being I wanted my final to be something that I was passionate about. I knew I was going to be spending a decent amount of time on this assignment so I wanted to make it worth it.
I am Drew Rivard and I am a senior here at Quinebaug Middle College and this is my third art class I have taken here. I decided to take art classes because I have an extreme love for photography and I am passionate about helping out with the QMC Yearbook. The title of my collection is My Heart And More.
The theme of my portfolio is my animals. They are extremely important to me and I did my project on them to show their importance to me. What inspired me to do my portfolio on my animals was because of how photogenic they are which make it very easy to get great shots of them. With my work it expresses a personal issue because I feel very passionate about my animals. I tried to show the emotion of happiness in my portfolio because everyone loves animals!

I am Isabelle Schlegel, a junior here at QMC and I have taken these photographs for my Photography Portfolio collection for Yearbook II. I was assigned to this class without getting to choose, but I still loved being a part of the yearbook team and helping my peers create a fun and memorable yearbook for this stressful year. The title for my collection is “Spring Always Comes Back”. The theme of my subject is that “Spring will always come back, and with it, it brings hope. I love nature and I love the concept of spring, which is a bg inspiration for my collection. Plants and flowers give me a great sense of calming beauty and there’s something magical about the way they always grow back, even after a harsh and cold winter. I tried to show emotions like hope, magical innocence, peacefulness, and perseverance in my collection.
