Information:
This site provides access to the quit and layoff transition rates for two demographic groups: the U.S. working-age population and the U.S. prime-age population.
We provide data for the percent of employed workers who quit or are laid-off to non-employment.
All Data is monthly and seasonally-adjusted.
Current availability is January 1978 until October 2024. Data will be updated every month around the 15th.
The authors used Current Population Survey (CPS) monthly basic files data to compute the quit and layoff transition rates.
