Information:

This site provides access to the quit and layoff transition rates for two demographic groups: the U.S. working-age population and the U.S. prime-age population. 

• We provide data for quits and layoffs from employment to non-employment.

• All Data is monthly and seasonally-adjusted. 

• Current availability is January 1978 until June 2024. Data will be updated every month around the 15th. 

• The authors used Current Population Survey (CPS) monthly basic files data to compute the quit and layoff transition rates.
