Robin Bayles, Director

My name is Robin Bayles, and I'm the Director of Educational Technology and Virtual Learning for Queen Creek Unified School District. I received my undergraduate and two Master's Degrees in Education from Nothern Arizona University. I have been with Queen Creek Unified School District for the past five years as the Coordinator of Research and Evaluation. I am excited to begin my new role and look forward to working with the staff, students, and parents of QCVA. 

My husband and I have two children, one who recently graduated from QCHS and the other who will be a sophomore. We love spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Robyn Mariani, Administrative Assistant

My name is Robyn Mariani and I am the Administrative Assistant/Registrar for Educational Services at Queen Creek Virtual Academy. I joined QCE in 2015 and worked as a paraprofessional for a year and a half and Attendance Specialist/Registrar for five and a half years. I then advanced into the Administrative Assistant position at QCVA, where I am today. Prior to QCE I worked 20 years as an Administrative Assistant in various industries supporting many different levels of management.  I obtained my Associates Degree in Computer Programming/Computer Operations.

 

My family relocated from IL in 2015. In 2020 I became a Licensed Real Estate Agent in AZ. I have lived in Queen Creek for seven years now and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My hobbies include Health, fitness, and country dancing.

Denise arzola-bass, Case Manager

Hello students and families of QCVA, my name is Denise Arzola-Bass. This will be my 20th year in education, (18 in Specials Education and two in general ed Early Childhood). This year I will be the QCVA Special Education Facilitator K-12. 


I graduated from Western New Mexico University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Human Services and a Master's in Special Education (K-12). When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, crafting, camping, and visiting family back home.

LAURA BORDEN, Elementary facilitator

Hello my name is Laura Borden and this is my nineteenth year in the education  field. I received my bachelor degree from the University of Illinois in elementary education. I moved to Arizona in 2000 and received my masters in elementary administration at Grand Canyon University in 2005. I live in Queen Creek with my husband, dog named Lizzie, and cat named Samantha. I love to spend my free time outdoors fishing and camping. I look forward to the upcoming year and meeting all the students!

Mark Parrish,

I'm excited to be a part of the Queen Creek Virtual Academy for the 23/24 school year. My name is Mark Parrish and I have been teaching for 27 years.  I have enjoyed teaching Social Studies, Physical Education and Industrial Technology over the years. I have a B.S. in Communication and a Masters Degree in Educational Media and Computers, both from Arizona State.  I am passionate about history and civics and look forward to sharing my passion with our students. 

I am an avid outdoorsman and enjoy spending as much time in nature as possible.

Sabrina Reid, Science Facilitator gRADES 9-12, qcva iN-pERSON tUTOR

My name is Sabrina Reid. I was born and raised in Arizona. I am a parent with four loving children, ages 16-26. My hobbies include reading, watching movies, hiking, and archery.

I have a passion for science and have dedicated my life to inspiring young minds in the field of science for 15 years. I have taught at junior high, alternative, and high school levels; as well as proctoring online distance learning programs. I have recently graduated as an Education Specialist in K-12 Leadership, but also hold a Masters and Bachelors in Education, with certifications in middle school science, high school biology, high school general science, and reading.  I am thankful to be with QCVA and look forward to helping all students to succeed!

Hello, QCVA friend! I'm Mrs. Rogers and I'm so excited for SY 23-24. This is my 10th year as an educator. I finished my Master's in Education, Learning, and Technology during the chaos of 2020 and currently getting my certifications for Google, Mircosoft, and AWS for 2024. My husband and I have three kids and two cute dogs.  When I'm not teaching, I enjoy synchronized/artistic swimming with my team Arizona Aqua Stars, taking care of my many plants, experiencing the outdoors, watching musicals and movies, enjoying the company of family & friends, and sipping a good cup of tea.
