Queen Creek Army JROTC started as a National Defense Cadet Corps (NDCC) Program in July 2016. Queen Creek Army JROTC was officially recognized as an Army JROTC Program in December 2016. The "Bulldog Battalion" structure was finalized in 2020 when the program established a Cadet chain of command with leadership positions from the Squad, Platoon, Company and Battalion level. Additionally, in 2020, the Bulldog Battalion Raider Team and the Bulldog Battalion Drill team was formed. In 2021, the Bulldog Battalion continued growing and started a Marksmanship Team. The Bulldog Battalion has competed and in every major competition in Arizona and is recognized as being the school to beat.
During the 2021 - 2022 school year the Bulldog Battalion worked extremely hard to prepare for and execute our JROTC Program of Accreditation (JPA) conducted by 5th Brigade Headquarters, US Army Cadet Command. As a result the Battalion was recognized as a JROTC Honor Unit with Distinction and awarded the gold star.
