Playoff placement will be determined according to the position in the pool. The top 4 teams from Pool A through C will be reseeded 1-12 for A Flight on Saturday (1st place in pool = seeds 1-3, 2nd place = seeds 4-6, 3rd place = seeds 7-9, 4th place = seeds 10-12). The bottom team from Pool A, B and C (seeded 1-3) will join the 4 teams from Pool D (seeded 4-7) to form the B Flight Championship.
A Flight will be a single elimination bracket after the first game; B Flight will play out a double elimination bracket.
Teams will be awarded 1 point for each set win
Tie breaking in pool play will be determined by:
head to head results
fewest sets lost
fewest points allowed
If the above tiebreakers do not solve the tie, and both teams remain in A Flight, the tie will be resolved via coin toss. If one of the two teams will be relegated to B Flight, the two teams will play a single set to 15 points, no cap.
Specific seeds (comparing between pools) will be determined by the following criteria:
Matches won
Sets won minus games lost
Points for minus points against
Points for divided by points against
Coin toss
Protests will be handled according to the proposed protest procedure at the OCSSAA directors meeting in June 1999.
