Meet the Principal
Krystal Chambers is thrilled to continue serving the Queen Anne's County Public Schools students and their families as Principal of Centreville Middle School. As Ms. Chambers enters her fourth year at CMS, she is excited to inspire, engage, and encourage students to be the best they can be in and out of the classroom!
In 2005, Ms. Chambers began working for Howard University Middle School of Mathematics and Science in Washington, DC. She began her career at Howard University (MS)2 as an Instructional Aide and she was fortunate to spend eleven years as a classroom teacher. In addition to teaching at Howard University (MS)2, she has also taught for District of Columbia Public Schools and Prince George’s County Public Schools district.
Ms. Chambers grew up in Newark, NJ and received her Teaching Credential from Howard University, along with her Bachelors of Arts in Secondary Education and History. In 2015, Ms. Chambers completed her Masters in Educational Leadership and Administration Credential from Trinity Washington University.
In addition to being a classroom teacher, Ms. Chambers has worked as an Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) Program Coordinator preparing students for college readiness and coaching teachers in AVID curriculum methodologies.
From 2016 to 2019, Ms. Chambers worked as an Assistant Principal at Kent Island High School in Stevensville, MD. Her educational experiences have afforded her the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse group of people to meet the common goal of increasing student achievement.
Ms. Chambers is excited to serve our students and work with such a talented, dedicated group of educators. Ms. Chambers is looking forward to building personal relationships with all of the wonderful students, parents, and staff at Centerville Middle School. She knows first hand of the hard work and perseverance it takes to succeed, and she is committed to our students experiencing that success.
On a personal note, Ms. Chambers is a proud, loving mother to her daughter Sarai (age 14) who will be starting 9th grade this fall. Ms. Chambers looks forward to another year with students, staff, and their families as she humbly leads Centerville Middle School.
