Purpose
The Year 12 HSC Study Camp Code of Conduct have been established to ensure all students behave in a respectful and courteous manner and adhere to procedures established to ensure good safety and good management during the Study Camp. Normal College rules apply on this camp.
Overview
The most important rule is that you should behave in a way that:
is considerate and courteous to other people,
is not harmful or dangerous to yourself or to others,
brings credit to yourself, your family and to Pymble Ladies’ College and,
is respectful of others and the property of the school.
Attendance and Punctuality
Students must attend the Study Camp every day unless leave has been negotiated by the parent/carer.
Students need to sign in each day and for each study session - rolls will be checked by the course director.
If students require to leave from the camp for external commitments an email from a parent/guardian must be sent to the course director, Mrs Jenny Olsen.
No student is to leave the Study Camp before the end of the programmed day without signing out.
Students are not permitted to use the lower level of the KM Building. The study camp will operate over the atrium and level 1.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones are not permitted in study rooms and must be left in your bag or given to the Camp Directors.
Students must not take photographs or videos during the Study Camp without the permission of the individual being photographed and the Camp Directors.
The use of Mobile Phone and Electronic Devices sit alongside the Student Code of Behaviour written in the College Diary (from p. 18)
Study rooms are for Study and therefore no music will be permitted either via a mobile phone or another device.
Some rooms will be set aside as ‘break out’ rooms. If there is collaborative study and use of whiteboards then permission may be sought to take a photo of the work completed.
Respect for Study Areas and others
The spaces in the Kate Mason Building are to be left clean and tidy
Students respect the rights of others by keeping the noise levels to an acceptable level.
