During the week, we will be scheduling examination only rooms for students wishing to practice exams in "exam-like" conditions. They will be offered in 3 hours blocks with full supervision. Please register with Mrs Olsen first thing upon arrival.
Dedicated room - KM16
Students will need to come to the rooms prepared - this includes their exam, pencils, pens or calculator. Study notes are not allowed. Once the exam timer starts students will not be able to enter the room.
Evidence suggests that engagement in high-impact, targeted study interventions has a statistically significant effect on academic achievement goals. For example, Hattie (2021) shows that:
Deliberate practice has a positive effect of .79 (79% increase)
Practice testing has a positive effect of .54 (54% increase)
Participating in study skills programs has a positive effect of .45 (45% increase)

Please note: students will need to complete the Progress Table (click here) with as many results (marks and ranks) for each subject studied. Please email your Progress Table to your appointment teacher at least 24 hours in advance so they have time to calculate it.
We will be offering students the opportunity to work collaboratively with their peers in small groups for a particular subject. Collaborative study rooms will be allocated and whiteboard markers will be provided. These rooms are not for a social chat, they are for groups of students wanting to learn together and will be monitored by staff.
For example - English, Maths Standard, Maths Advanced/Extension, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Legal Studies, History, Business Studies, Geography
